Been there, done and dusted, Matt. I was going through loads of health issues post pregnancies, I had to quit my job. Many money shamed me, many body shamed me for putting on weight, many shamed for using crutches to walk at that young age. Today, I walk like a lioness as I have no health issues, I have no money issues, I have no weight gain issues. Today, I take solo trips, live with family and helping the same group of people navigate their issues who shamed me for everything.
I love this post, Matt! It's so nerve-wracking to talk about money, whether it's debt, salary, or anything else. Appreciate you breaking down these barriers. PS are you still in Oakland? I grew up there :)
Thank you, Leigh. One of my goals is trying to break down these barriers. And no, I was only in Oakland for a couple of years. Lived by the Grand Lake Theater and loved it, but ended up moving back to Austin in the first dot-com crash many years ago.
Sounds like you made a great investment in choosing a partner!
Haha. I think so, too.

That's amazing, Geet. I'm so happy for you.
This post is great, it also highlights the importance of a good and strong partner in life. THanks for sharing this story!
Thanks for the kind words, Jim. I really appreciate it!
